Fordyce Railroad Station
Fordyce is just down the road from Rison, and I took this photo of the old railroad station while waiting for Jim to pick up cleaning nearby. There is a railroad festival every year in Fordyce which is a really big deal. I can’t wait to attend our first one.
I’ve been gone for a while, and found a gentle nudge from a dear young woman to get back into the swing of things in here. So I’ll just have to put my quilting aside occasionally, grab a heavy coat, and get outside to explore my home territory with my ever-ready little digital camera. Sorry for the absence, everyone, but hey! I’m back! (Thanks, Kim!)

Stormy Day
This photo was taken the day the storms came through Arkansas. The dark bruised-looking clouds hung low to the horizon. We did not get the bad storms that other areas of the state did, but the wind was fierce.
I’ve been tagged by Kim of Celina Daily Photo to play along in the New Years Resolution game. She was tagged by Jim of Terrell Daily Photo. Here is how the game goes: When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories: 1) quite serious about them, 2) flippant about them, 3) pressured to do them, or 4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in. I will give mine, then tag 3 other sites to do the same thing.
My resolutions (hopes) for this year:
1. To live and enjoy each day and moment with a focus on it, without worrying about the past or the future.
2. To connect more with friends and family.
3. To eat more healthy foods, without worrying about losing weight.
4. To begin to walk regularly, rather than sporadically, and not worry about how far or how fast. Just walk and enjoy the process.
Those are brief and rather broad, but I believe I can work toward those four goals without an overload of stress and guilt when I don’t quite make it as I’d hoped. So I guess you could say I’m in the “quite serious” about them category.
Now to tag three others: Gordon of Adelaide Daily Photo and J. Andrew of Van Buren Daily Photo and Kate of Cork Daily Photo. If you haven’t already, go check out their sites, as well as Kim’s and Jim’s.
